Pocket Diapers

Pocket cloth diapers are similar to an AIOs. They have an outer layer of a waterproof material and an inner layer of a stay dry material, like microfleece or suede cloth. Pocket diapers close with velcro or snaps. They have a pocket opening that allows for the absorbent material to be stuffed in the pocket during use and then removed for laundering. This opening is typically at either the front or the back of the diaper. Pocket diapers are available in both a one size version as well as a sized version (ie. small, medium, large).

The absorbent material for stuffing can be an insert that comes with the diaper or a pre-fold or doubler. Microfiber, organic cotton, hemp and bamboo are all popular choices of inserts for use with pocket diapers.
